Lions & Tigers & Bears Oh My!

The weather has been so much better this week allowing for more adventures. Yesterday we took a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The boys had a blast! They both love animals & the excitement of the zoo. Here are some pics of our day.

Not sure why they were both were cocking their heads. But it's cute anyway.
 Pres & his buddy Carter.
Zac man attacking the chickens. Not surprising.

The boys with the bear.

We had such a great time yeaterday. The boys were both worn out & went to bed really early last night. We had fun with our friends Amber, Carter & Eli.

This weekend we plan on heading back to the zoo to see the Electric Safari. Then we are going to do as usual, hang out at home & ring in the New Year together as a family in our cozy abode.

More adventures next week...

Rewind...

Yesterday I posted some older pics of my man Preston. I didn't realize at the time that his 2 year old picture was blurry. So to clear the water- here are pics of my babe when he was 2.

Oh My Peas!

With Preston's 5th birthday little more then 6 weeks away, I have been begun planning for his birthday party. This seems to be the 2nd most stressful event of the year (after Christmas!) But so joyous as well. I just can't belive 5 years ago I was pregnant getting ready to give birth to a little boy who would change me so dynamically. I never knew I could love someone so much as my own son. He was perfect in every way!

Today, Preston is a fun & energetic almost 5 year old. He loves cars, trucks, tractors, race tracks, trains, action figures & everything else "boy." He has been in preschool 4 half days this school year so having him home the last couple weeks has been awesome. Preston is very eager to learn. He enjoys our trips to the library & reading book together. I am amazed at how may words he recognizes & how he is able to sound out 3 letter words already.

Here are some pictures of my amazing little man and how he has changed in  the last (almost) 5 years.

'Tis the Season

This last week has been great having Rachele home. All the kids together enjoying each other & having a wonderful time. We tried to stay busy but Colorado Springs had a pretty big snow storm that kept us at home for a few days. We had to change around some plans to accomodate the snow but it was worth it. Snow days inside can be fun too! Nonetheless we still had time for shopping, trips to the library & movie theater, the gym (of course!), gingerbread houses, games, movies & much more. We kept busy! Here are some pics of our week.

All the kids slept in the same room. They are too cute! Reggie slept on the floor at the foot of the bed.  Even though he's 16 he wasn't about to be left out!
 Rachele making her gingerbread house.
Zac was super proud of his creation. Even though he ate more than he built :)
Reggie & Preston working together, of course! Pres really looks up to his big brother.
Zac wore himself out & put himself down for a nap. My sweetie.

Christmas was great this year! All of the kids were blessed with lots of goodies from Santa. We spent Christmas Eve with friends after attending a candle light church service. It was perfect! On Christmas Day we headed up to Boulder to spend with family.

Rachele left yesterday to go back with her mom. We are counting down the days until she is home again. We look forward to spending lots of time with her this summer!

Home for the Holidays...

On Sunday we picked Rachele up at the airport. She flew in to spend time with her family during the Christmas holiday. It was a great reunion! Preston was super excited to see his sister- he was even telling strangers! Here are the 4 of them together at the airport.

All the excitement wore out my favorite 2 year old. Here he is passed out in the car. Bless his heart!

Gettin' Ready for Christmas!!

This week has been super fun filled & jam packed! We have been busy getting ready for the upcoming holiday, visiting Santa, school party & swim lessons. Here is our week in review:

The Christmas Tree. I thought I was smart putting it out of the way in the corner of the dining room. It is somewhat hard to tell from this picture but there are no ornaments on the bottom third of the tree. Zac takes them & hides them. I have found them everywhere from inside pots & pans, dresser drawers, in the bathroom, the toy bin & everywhere in between.

Santa!! Zac was not happy at all! If it weren't fpr Preston he would not of sat there.
Preston makes me buy him a smoothie every week before swim. He says he can't swim without it. Spoiled much?
 Back floatin' in the pool.
Smile P! He loves swim goggles.
At Preston's preschool Christmas party. He was having a snack. Below picture is the cookie he decorated & then ate. Yummy!

Circle time with the best preschool teacher in the world, Miss Shauna. Preston loves her & also the class TA Miss Jann. Notice he is right up front.
 Opening his present...
A book! He loves books and loves to read. Yeah!!
I helped him make a gingerbread house. He was so proud of it!
Ready to go!! He kept telling Miss Shauna & Miss Jann how much he is going to miss them. Awww my sweet little man.

This week has kept us pretty busy. We have been running here & there but it has been great! I love these little monsters :)

Introduction...

Wow! We are excited to start a blog about our family adventures. This last week was quite the adventure for our two little men. On Saturday, the three of us went to Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3 and then to Casa Bonita with our friends Shayne & Tyleen. Here are some pics:

Shayne, Preston & Zac in front of Buzz at the Pepsi Center entrance.

The three of us at Casa Bonita in Denver. We were in front of the waterfall even though you can't see it.

This week is already busy with holiday parties, Christmas shopping, getting ready for school break & the excitement of welcoming Rachele home for the holidays!   There is so much to do this time of year. We are all excited for Santa's upcoming visit to our house.

More adventures to come!
