Spring Break... Shoats Style

Preston is officially through half of his 2 week spring break. We have been staying busy (always a necessity with two very active little boys!). Two weeks ago big sister Rachele spent the week with us for her spring break. Even though we stayed local since the other kids still had school, we still had fun.

Here are all 4 kids together at the airport when Rachele got off the plane.

We had an enjoyable week together. Reg was off work for most of the week, and the weather was gorgeous! We had "picnic in the park" several days and spent lots of time outdoors. We went to the zoo, went swimming, had a brief trip up to Boulder to see the family, and enjoyed each others company. It was fun! 

Just as she was setting off for New York, spring break for Preston came! He asks everyday if he has school. I'm glad he enjoys learning, although I think he really misses his friends. 

I kicked off spring break by celebrating St. Patty's Day with my friends. The "Preschool Moms" all got together for dinner, green beer and great conversation. I love these ladies & am so thankful for each of their friendships.

This next week, we have much of the same planned. Probably head to the zoo, go swimming, go to the gym, play in the park, and spend time with great friends. I'm trying to talk Uma & Papa into a weekend visit (hint-hint!) They boys always love their visits. 

The weather is supposed to be in the 70's all week! How awesome!! I love summer & warm weather. But knowing Colorado we probably have a week or two of sub-zero temps headed our way!  We are definitely enjoying the warm weather. Peter Pan Ballet

Yesterday, Preston and I traveled to Denver with our friends Ty, Rylan and Shayne to see the Peter Pan Ballet at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Even though Preston has been to the ballet before, I still was worried about him understanding what was going on because the characters don't speak. He did ask a few questions, but for the most part he followed along great & really enjoyed the show. It was really neat! We had great seats and were even able to go on a tour backstage during the second intermission. He thought that was the coolest! Here are some pictures of our trip.

Preston had such a great time! He told me at least ten times last night how much fun he had, thank you for taking me & the best... "Love you Momma." As for Zac, he stayed home and had a fun day with Daddy & Reggie. Much needed Daddy time.
